Reasonable worship

Beloved in Christ

We are going to meditate on  topic WORSHIP. When I observed the human  race around the world, interestingly I found a common attitude among every one in the world. Whether they are rich or poor,  literate or illiterate, living in city or village,  even the cannibals lives in the jungle believes that there is God above and we have to worship Him. Only thing they don"t know who is real God and believe the practices of their ancestors and follow their worship procedures. Even the Atheist who does not belive there is God, worship their knowledge and science without knowing that they are worshiping it. That is why they belive it and stand for it. If we ask ourself "who taught all the human being to worship God?"  then we will come to know that when God created the human race He has kept that passion of seeking and worshipping God in the heart of man. That is why they seek to worship God. 

               As Christians we are highly privileged people to worship the true and living God who is Holy and Mighty and He created the heaven and the earth. But.., Is our worship is acceptable in the sight of our Almighty God..? In order to know whether our worship is REASONABLE  or NOT we can"t compare with any of the world standard but with the word of God (Bible). The Holy Spirit has revealed about worship in many books in the Bible. All verses gives the similar explanation. We are going to meditate in the light of Romans 12:1 where paul says to worshippers 

           "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a LIVING SACRIFICE, HOLY, and ACCEPTABLE to God, which is your reasonable service."

             In old testament days,God"s people worshipped Him by offering  sacrifices of animals and that is replaced by the sacrifices of lips (PRAISES) from the heart in new testament days. That is why the Holy Spirit says through Paul the in worship the sacrifices must be 

a) The Holy Sacrifice 

b) The Acceptable Sacrifice and

c) The Living Sacrifice

Then only it will be a reasonable service of a worshipper.

Holy Sacrifice

As I have mentioned earlier sacrifice means it is the praise and worship that comes from the heart of a believer in new testament days. What ever we offer to Holy God must be holy. Unholy things can"t be accepted by our God. In old testament days, if any one wants to offer sacrifice to God,  that must be without any blemish. Since in the new testament days sacrifice comes from the heart,  the heart should be without blemish. It is easy to keep clean and holy appearance out side the body. It is very difficult to keep the heart without blemish from the unholy things. We need the blood of Christ to cleanse and then Holy Spirit to come and dwell in our heart to be holy in heart. Then we can offer the Holy Sacrifice unto our God. Unless the Holy Spirit come and dwells in our heart we can"t offer Holy Sacrifice.

Acceptable Sacrifice 

God accepts the sacrifices only when it pleases Him. So our sacrifice must please Him for its acceptance. In Bible Hebrew 11:6 says "Without FAITH, it is impossible to please God." When we worship God our heart must be filled with faith. We must believe our God inhabits in our praises.  Man looks outward appearance and God looks into the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). Adam and Eve taught their children Cain and Abel to worship God. Cain brought fruits and Abel brought lamb to worship God. Bible says in Genesis 4:4-5 God was pleased with Abel"s offering and not with Cain"s offering.  What does it mean.....?  Is our God like only non-veg...? No not at all.  Hebrew 11:4 clearly says "By FAITH Abel offers better sacrifice than Cain"s sacrifice." So when ever we come before our God to worship, we must see Jesus through our eyes of faith and worship. Then it will be pleasing to God to accept our worship.

Living Sacrifice 

How do we know the offering that comes from soul and spirit of a man is alive or dead.? The holiness of human spirit and the faith of his soul must express it"s acton in the body his everyday life. Then only that is living sacrifice. The fruit of holiness from the human spirit and fruits of faith from his soul must be seen his in everyday life. If that is not seen that dead faith. According to James 2:26 "Faith with out works is dead." That is why Jesus said in John 15:5 "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing." If you want to yield the fruits of spirit and offer you as a living sacrifice to God Almighty, you must remain in Jesus by meditating His word and praying to Him everyday. Only than you will become a living sacrifice in to God Almighty.

Beloved in Christ

For all non-christians there is no connection between spiritual worship and day to day life. This is hypocrisy of devil.  But for a true christian the worship begins in day to day life and completes in the church when he sing and praise the Almighty God from his heart.
